Technology - Be thankful - simple sayings by alfred
A bit of nostalgia by alfred

Where do I begin.
I was rudely woken up by the siri announcing an incoming call while I was asleep listening with my bluetooth headphones. This device alone has made my cutting off my thoughts so easy, to put me to sleep.

This simple device has so many technologies built into it that i don't want this to sound like a technical paper.

Remember the days when:

We were so excited with the Cordless Phone and then when some of us had the long range cordless phone

The days when we had to keep on adjusting our TV settings for Shape, Color and Clarity. We now have instant starting, automatic ambient light adjusted color screens. Yes remember the glass screens that were sold to be put in front of our black and white TV screens. Wait, we even had magnifiers to make the screen look larger

Remote this and remote that from TVs to ACs to now we can even start our Cars and Microwave owens from miles away. What next!!

Expensive Video conference calls to now FaceTime and Whatsapp videos for free

My goodness cannot resist to share my idea of the Height of Globalization. We have the oldest Barber shop now in our cities. Was invited to experience it a few days back and was truly happy at the high standards along with technology to the simple acts of shaving, hair cutting, etc

We take the sun screens on our car windows so much for granted these days. Gone are the days when on long drives we used to struggle to put newspaper and towels to block the sunlight;
antifogging during monsoons in addition to the variable speed wipers;
The list is endless when it comes to automobiles for safety and luxury. Just when we thought there is more to come, we are also not required to drive if we so choose and maybe even fly out of traffic jams - James Bond gadgets have been democratized

My lazy boy couch is also motorized and has memory to remember my favorite settings including in the cars

I can control all my devices with or without remote just by my voice commands.

Then there is the truly impactful applications for technology whether it is bringing health care over the cloud; Remote sensing of weather to the farmers; Emergency deliveries through drones; etc.

I am so excited. Just wrote about my Ark to some of you.
I want it to be future proof and also be able to do Space travel and who knows even time travel.

I want to go back to my childhood and be with my friends and neighbourhood. Hear the sounds of the garage next door, sparrows chirping and the neighbors  radio blaring as well
