I had such a wrong notion of Chess and the game of life and strategy

Chess is not a game. Chess is a well-defined form of computation

What makes a decision great is not that it has a great outcome.
A great decision is the result of a good process, and that process must include an attempt to accurately represent our own state of knowledge.
That state of knowledge, in turn, is some variation of “I’m not sure.”

To do this, we need to stop treating “I don’t know” and “I’m not sure” like strings of dirty words.

Simply start by admitting, I don’t know and the world of possibilities is only a click away – its just that simple and easy. - Alfred
