With an attitude of gratitude one can strive to be humble
Here are a few things i follow that has helped me in my path to humility.

- I start my day with giving thanks to the sunrise and the certainty behind it. Accepting the enormity of the Sun and knowing that after all this time, imagine it telling the earth, “you owe me”
- After seeing the day in and day out massive dumping of debris into the sea for the coastal road, i can hear the sea say “Bring it on” not once does it change its tide and fury to show it’s might. Mumbai held it’s breath during the Cyclone scare recently
- I wish good morning to all the help in my home not as a boss but with respect and gratitude steeped in the tone
- The Namaste sign, which has become popular worldwide for the wrong reasons. To me it has always been a symbol reminding me that irrespective of who i am greeting, our soles are one, irrespective of the worldly status
- In my college days, while cycling for the early morning class, the loud “Ram Ram” greetings of the doodhwallahs
- At the first sign of an argument to realise that to be right is not important
- To be patient and polite when dealing with someone in no position to fight you
- To hear a strong man asking for Peace to prevail
- My mother’s undying care and love under all circumstances
- Greeting of a powerful friend, Neighbor and teacher
- The respect of grown up children and their friends
Walk and behave like an Elephant or a Lion - they epitomise humility despite their strength and stature in all circumstances
